Change the aggregation of Pages and Hidden Dimensions

new

So far, when removing the Dimension from a View or when selecting multiple items from a Page Selector, Pigment was aggregating the Dimension using a SUM.

With the new version of the Total panel, now called View Aggregators, you can set any aggregation method allowed for the Metric's Type, like AVG, MIN or MAX for Numbers.

The setting and calculation is done for (1) all the non-time Dimensions (2) the time Dimensions.

With this release we also introduce a shortcut to copy a Total or Aggregator to all other Metrics that have the same Dimension in the View.

Single Page Selectors

new

Have you ever been in front of a Page Selector where selecting multiple items make no sense? We are now adding a new option to choose between Multiple and Single Select.

To use it, open the Page Options of a View, Board or Widget and toggle the Selector option. When activated, the Page Selector won't display multiple checkboxes and you will only be able to select a single item at a time.

Unlink widgets dimension by dimension

improvement

So far, unlinking a Widget from a Board turned all the dimensions of the widget selectable and unsynced from the Board Pages. We were in a situation where all or nothing was synced.

Today, we give more granular Widget configurations by allowing unlinking a Widget dimension by dimension. To do so, simply open the Pages Options on a Widget, and click on the "chain" button of the dimension you want to unlink!

📢 Page Selectors important update

improvement

Important update to Page Selectors.

  • Until now, default pages (items selected by default when a board is open) were defined using the Page Selector directly in Edit Mode.
  • From now on, default pages are defined using a Page Selectors menu:

Persisting Page Selection

new

Page selection is now persisted when you navigate into Pigment! It means that if you select one or multiple item of a dimension (country, channel, etc.), Pigment will keep this selection on other boards and blocks that share the same dimension.

Please note that Page Selection is only persisted in the browser tab you are in and will be lost if you close it. Duplicating a tab will however keep the selection.
