We just re-designed the Filtering, Sorting and Totals panels to improve their usability and clarity.
Please note : from now on, you will need to click on the "Apply" button to save your changes.
We just released 2 new productivity shortcuts that should make your experience with Views even better.
On Lists, you can right click on column headers to activate the Property's total:
On Metrics and Tables, drag and drop a dimension outside the configure panel to remove it from the View:
You have now the option to export Metrics and Tables as Excel files (.xlsx) with or without formatting.
Click on the file icon located in the top-right of your Block's View, then on Download as. Select one of the two Excel export option:
We introduced several shortcuts from headers to increase modeling and reporting productivity. Now and directly from grid headers, you are able to:
Tree View available for Tables and Metrics!
A new layout has been added to Metrics and Tables so that you can display row headers as a tree.
You will now have the possibility to switch between the Tabular Mode and the Tree View Mode.
The Tree View will display within the same column the Metrics and Dimensions that have been selected in the Table. Expand/Collapse functionality is available directly on the row headers thanks to + / - icons.
The option "Show Totals on first row" is enabled by default in this mode and can be disabled from the same panel.
With the new formatting option "Apply to Grid header(s)", you can now format any cell of a grid.
To find this option Right click on any header > "Format cell". Once you configured the formatting you want, check the "Apply to: Grid header(s)" box in order to apply the formatting also to the grid header.
Now the History Tab has a new category "Block settings" which allows you to better track the models updates.
Here is the list of new changes which will be tracked:
Easily highlight key data points on Boards thanks to the new KPI widget. The KPI widget allows you to display a single numeric value in a formatted text and to complement it with a small description.
In order to successfully display a KPI you have to create a KPI view first. There are two ways to create a KPI view:
OR
Once you have created your KPI compatible View, add a KPI widget directly from Boards by clicking on the new KPI widget.
Arrange the layout of Tables based on the Dimensions you really need.
It is now possible to customize the layout of Tables so that Dimensions are only displayed when relevant.
This means that the Pigment platform is now able to display the figures as they are defined on the original Metric. We have removed the previous behaviour that used to implicitly aggregate or split the figures in order to match the Dimensions that were available in the Table.
Use the option "Densify headers" in the Layout panel of Tables to make the row headers as compact as possible, fitting them on the same column. For instance, if your Table contains four Dimensions but each Metric displays only two, the Table layout will only display two row headers instead of four.
